Korova (DE) 58 320 (1981)
A recent discovery - I picked up this German import pressing at a used record store, thinking to upgrade my original US copy. Turns out this German pressing is a different mix from the US Sire release (as well any CD version).
A search of the internet for info on this has been yielded nothing so far but my guess is this must be an earlier mix, on account of what's missing (no "echo" on Ian's vocal at the end of Show Of Strength, missing drum overdubs on With A Hip, use of the single mix of A Promise, no crossfade between track 2 & 3, to name a few).
This is not the definitive mix, to be sure, but fascinating to listen to (if you're a huge fan of this album like I am) and the sound of this German pressing is excellent.
