Ray Charles - s/t

Ray's first full-length on Atlantic, released nearly three years after signing with the label.

It plays like a greatest hits compilation, which isn't too surprising as every track here was taken from a hit single (or its B-side).  Kind of like his Singles Going Steady.

Transferred from an early '60s mono pressing.  The dynamics on this are incredible.

    This is a great album and a great rip - the trouble you've taken with it is appreciated.

    Sorry to be cheeky, but is there any chance of lossless versions of these? Any format would be OK. Somehow MP3 doesn't do justice to the trouble you've taken getting these right.

    If not, no worries, I'm enjoying them anyway...
